Built about 1130 and made famous as 'Green Knowe' by the author Lucy Boston, the Manor is reputedly the oldest house in the country and much of the Norman house remains. Visitors are offered the chance to walk into the books and to see the Lucy Boston patchworks. The garden features old roses, topiary and herbaceous borders.
